Families and young people will find a warm welcome at all Holy Cross services and events.

On Sundays during the 10.30 am service a crèche is always available for babies and very young children. Parents and grandparents can relax and join in the service while the children have fun in the church hall. Children in the crèche join their families in church in time for the administration of Holy Communion.

During school term-times there are Sunday School lessons for primary school pupils. Follow the link to find out more.

We organise a number of annual family friendly events which are a favourite part of our church year. In the next 12 months these will include:

  • Pancake party on Shrove Tuesday
  • Easter Sunday: Activities for children during the first half of the 10.30 am service including the story of Easter – and an Easter Egg hunt
  • Summer Fete: Stalls, teas, a children’s inflatable assault course and bouncy castle
  • Family barbeque held in the grounds in June after the 10.30 am service
  • The Christingle Service on Christmas Eve afternoon

To find out what’s planned for the coming weeks, see the Events page.

All activities involving children and young people are run by volunteers who have been vetted as required by government legislation.
